I bought this so I can see the cool colours of my loaded teas. Gave my sister one for Christmas to do the same. We love them! Just not sure of the carafe is dishwasher safe do holding off from putting it in there. But I've washed the straw and the lid in the dishwasher, no problem.y only complained is it doesn't fit into my cup holder. So it's an around the house only loaded tea cup.
