I only got a key with it, despite thinking it should have keyless entry. Lady said it never had it. I didn’t buy that - I flicked the key on and off 8 times and the power locks cycled, showing yes - it had keyless entry and no remotes! A quick jump on Amazon and a few days later, I was sent a pair of these remotes and went to work. Ford could not have made remote programming any easier on these old cars - 8 flicks of the key, wait for the locks to cycle, press a button on each remote, wait for the locks to cycle showing it is programmed, repeat the button pressing on the next remote, turn the key off when all remotes are programmed and test the remotes. Wham! Now I have keyless entry!!!
In all honesty, I have bought these a few times for a couple of Focuses (Foci?) I had a few years ago. Same thing - flick the key 8 times, locks cycle, press remote button, turn it off. These are great remotes at a really good price! If you need to replace or just get remotes, get ‘em! They are awesome and like I said, almost indispensable!!!
